In August 2008, the legendary Rune red Mini was let loose on Mainland Europe. Covering over 2′500 miles, our principal designer Jono and his brother Rob Davies (of rddphotography) crossed 7 countries in just 8 days.
The idea for the trip was influenced by the BBC television programme ‘TopGear’. In their ‘Best roads in the world pole’ Salvio Pass in Northern Italy was deemed as No.1.
Driving the dangerous and challenging road of Salvio Pass with its sheer drop to one side and its most beautiful landscapes, was the main destination of the trip.
Eight days and seven countries of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. From the snow covered mountains of Northern Italy to the Sun Flower fields of Southern France, from the elegant city of Luxembourg to the sleepy villages of Switzerland, this whole trip was bursting with culture, great architecture, design and natural beauty. Experiencing these landscapes and cultures has filled me full of inspiration and new design ideas.
The Mini and the boys returned home in one peice, with no brakedowns, plenty of stories and both Jono & Rob look forward to applying their new influeneces into their work.

Rune Garden Design is a happy work place, we are proud of all that work here.
Throughout the year, fun days are orginised as team building exercises and a rewards for all the hard work done.
Trips to Alton Towers, playing golf, games days, quizzes with amazing prizes are a constant occurrence. During the summer a weekly game of football takes place and games of pool down the local pub always go down well!
New for 2009 is our bowls team. We are due to start competing later in the year.
Also the ‘RUNE’ treasure hunt will take place during the summer. The hunt will take place by foot around Bredon hill and Pershore town. The aim is to find the treasure by solving a trail of clues positioned at varied locations.
It is not confirmed what the treasure will be but Jono being the generous guy he is, has promised a big cash intensive!!!

In July 2007, Worcestershire and the surrounding counties were hit by some of the worst flooding on record. Rune was effected by the torrential downpour just like millions of home and other businesses within the Midlands. We documented, the water as it rose into the studio, engulfing the reception area and causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage. Rune would like to say a big thank you for all your concern throughout these wet times.

Jono Davies had the great pleasure in taking two seminars at our Design Studio. The seminars were set up to introduce HNC Garden design and Managment students to a working practice.
